Design Build ShipRice University, Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
For undergraduate students. The course runs in two-week sprints. Each sprint, people pick an idea, build it, and ship it to real users. If it works, keep going. If not, start something new. Apps, videos, physical products — whatever they want to make. In collaboration with Adam Wulf.
New Enterprise v. 2.0
Rice University, Rice Business (Online)
For MBA students in Rice University's online program. A redesign of the original New Enterprise course, now focused on opportunity identification. Teams form around a problem, go talk to real people, and figure out whether it's actually worth solving. The new version includes AI-personalized chatbots to support asynchronous learning.

For undergraduate students. People go out and learn from extreme users, turn observations into insights, and prototype solutions they test with real people. In collaboration with Elena Naids.
Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen International Summer Experience in Engineering Design (iSEED - Tokyo)
Rice University, Oshman Engineering Design Kitchen (OEDK)
For undergraduate students, primarily in engineering. A summer study abroad program in Tokyo where students go on noticing hunts, tackle design challenges, and build prototypes informed by Japanese culture.

For undergraduate students. A 3 part course that includes human-centered design, no-code product building, and a race to create as much momentum around an early version of a product as possible. In collaboration with fahad punjwani and Damiano Redemagni.
Hidden Biases Workshop

For graduate engineering students. A one day workshop on hidden biases in medical devices, including physical, computational, and interpretation bias. Adapted from the undergraduate course we created at Rice University. In collaboration with Sabia Abidi.

For pre-matriculation undergraduate students. A workshop designed to introduce students to the entrepreneurial mindset. Redesigned to be a one day experience the day before students move into their dorms. In collaboration with Kyle Judah, Micaela McGlone, Sofi Aguilera, Patrick Ray, and the rest of the Liu Idea Lab for Innovation and Entrepreneurship team.

This course was designed prior to the pandemic, which made the transition to fully online easier for future courses.
